Arizona Downs Donates $1,000 to Turf Paradise Race Horse Feed Angels

Prescott Valley, AZ — The owners and management of Arizona Downs have donated $1,000 to the Turf Paradise Race Horse Feed Angels to help Arizona horsemen and women feed the horses currently residing at the Phoenix based, Turf Paradise. With no racing currently taking place within the state, the fund was set up by Terri Ferguson and Cynthia George, following the abrupt closing of Turf Paradise on March 14 due to COVID-19.

We encourage all our patrons and fans of racing to donate as they can. Not only will the horses benefit but it will greatly assist the horsemen and horsewomen of Arizona to maintain the health and happiness of their horses at a time when no racing is available for them to generate income.  On April 27, organizer, Terri Ferguson was quoted on their GoFundMe page as saying:

“Unfortunately, our situation on the backside of Turf Paradise for the need of horse feed continues due to the Coronavirus. We have made a difference and we will continue to do so as long as we have funds. Thank you again.”
