PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. (June 11, 2019) – Arizona Downs is giving Dads the attention they deserve all weekend long. In addition to the excitement of live Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse Racing, the racetrack’s Father’s Day Weekend celebration also gives Dads a chance to enjoy their favorite local craft beers for just $3 a pint. There’s also prizes and giveaways in the 2nd floor Beer Garden, and the opportunity to register for ACE Race, sponsored by Ace Hardware in Prescott Valley, and called by Track Announcer Michael Wrona.  The ACE Race will feature a Daddy/Daughter Race, and a Daddy/Son Race – and the opportunity to win stick horses for the kids, and prizes from ACE Hardware for Dad.

Findlay Toyota Family Fun Zone – On Your Bark, Get Set, GO!

Dads can also have fun with the entire family watching the FIDO 500 mini puppy races, the feature attraction in the Findlay Toyota Family Fun Zone. More than a dozen miniature purebred dogs participate in races that take place between the horse races throughout the day. Nearly all of the FIDO 500 competitors are rescue dogs, each with a touching story that is shared during introductions by Master of Ceremonies Rocket Hoskins. The Findlay Toyota Family Fun Zone also features Corn Hole, Tether Ball, and Sand Box fun.

“Dads are often the hardest person to shop for in the family,” said Arizona Downs General Manager Ann McGovern. “You can’t go wrong bringing him to the newest attraction in Prescott Valley, and one of the most affordable family experiences around.”

Admission gates open at 10 a.m. and post time for the first race is 1 p.m. General admission is just $2. Kids 10 and under are free.  Tickets are available for purchase at www.ArizonaDowns.com.  For ongoing updates on events and promotions at Arizona Downs, visit www.arizonadowns.com and follow us on Facebook.
