Appreciating Teachers & Supporting Students in Need

Saturday, August 3 is Back-to-School Day at Arizona Downs. Teachers get in free with a school ID, and can also enter a raffle to win backpacks and supplies to outfit 30 elementary school students in need.  Fans are encouraged to bring donations of backpacks and school supplies to help charity partner Hoot’s Helping Hands sustain the needs of elementary school students throughout the year.

JOCKS VS JOCKEYS TUG-OF-WAR CONTEST

In the spirit of competitive fun, Arizona Downs horse racing jockeys are taking on Bradshaw Mountain football team members in a pound-for-pound Tug-of-War contest that will take place on the track between horse races. The public can get it on the fun by participating in a 50/50 Raffle to vote for the team they think will win the grueling test of brute strength.
